1. Smeg BCC02
This sleek compact and striking machine, created by the Milan-based firm Deep Design combines the brand's retro aesthetic with cutting-edge technology. It handles every step of the coffee-making process, from grinding beans and shaping the beans into a puck to mixing milk and dispense the correct volume - so you can make barista-quality hot beverages at the touch of the button.
The machine is also available in black, red or taupe. It can easily fit into any kitchen design. The machine is not without faults however. The majority of reviewers thought it was quite expensive for a cup to bean maker (and does not come with an ice cube).
There were also many glowing reviews about the machine's ease of use as well as the quality of its coffee. The digital display gives information and step-bystep instructions throughout the entire brewing process, helping you to improve your coffee each time. The machine even allows you to adjust the size of your grind if that's not what you prefer. It's like having your own personal barista at home (minus Elon Musk's rocket building abilities and Harry Potter's invisible cape).
If you prefer drinks with milk this model comes with an adjustable steam wand in both directions to accommodate the majority of drinking vessels that aren't equipped with the drinking horn of Vikings. We were also awed by the speed and efficiency at which the frothing was done. It makes a delicious, full-flavoured espresso with a great crema.
The BCC02 is an excellent all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and it offers great value for money at a price that is currently PS499. Its only real flaw is that it doesn't provide the same level of customization like other bean-to-cup machines we have examined. It comes with a 15 bar pump rather than the more typical 19 bars that aren't as efficient to make high-quality espressos. This is a fantastic machine for those who prefer their coffee strong and dark. Users have also reported being amazed by the speed of the machine. It is faster than any other machine they've used. The machine will also warn you if any of its hoppers is almost empty. This means that you won't run out of your preferred beverage.
The only thing that may be a disadvantage for certain individuals is the price. The machine is priced at PS999. But, it's cheaper than similar Jura machines that have the same number of features.
The Barista TS Smart is backed by a an extensive warranty that provides two years of coverage. This is a longer warranty than the typical one-year warranty. It's a mark of confidence on the part of the manufacturer. The machine includes a cleaning tablet and a descaler. This makes it simple to maintain the machine.
